BizzEnergy, the UK’s leading independent supplier of energy, today announces the appointment of Stephen Taylor to the position of CEO.
Stephen, previously Regional Vice President at Yahoo! Europe, will drive a series of initiatives set to redefine customer provision in the energy market. This includes an e-commerce launch which will see BizzEnergy become the first business supplier to allow its customers to fully service their accounts online. Stephen brings with him over 20 years of high profile business experience across a range of industries.
BizzEnergy is a market innovator in energy, supplying small and medium sized businesses with a range of competitive energy tariffs including several green options, as well as smart metering products to improve energy efficiency. The company is headquartered in Worcester with offices in London and Stephen will divide his time between the two locations, reporting to John Devaney, Chairman of the Board. Stephen will look after all areas of the business with James Constant, COO, maintaining responsibility for the Worcester operations.
Stephen joins BizzEnergy following a distinguished career with a strong track record of growing innovative businesses. In his most recent role as Regional Vice President of Yahoo! Europe he assumed direct responsibility for the Yahoo! European consumer business, including the brands Flickr and Kelkoo, as well as developing and managing new partnerships such as the sports service with Eurosport. His past roles include founder of Securicor eSolutions, launch Marketing Director of Air Miles and European CEO of paid search innovator, Overture, which was sold to Yahoo! for $1.7bn.
