New look for online Icelandic product retailer

Reykjavik based Internet retailer Nordic Store has been relaunched with a catalog of new Icelandic products for the global market.

Reykjavik (eNewsWire) 14 December 2007 – Following a complete design makeover, online Icelandic product retailer Nordic Store has unveiled its new ice blue image.

The site now features a new user-friendly interface, improved security, powerful search tool and easy-to-navigate shopping categories. Shoppers can search for individual products or narrow their search to the most popular objects in a given category.

While fishing exports are well established, Iceland doesn’t export many of its popular goods and crafts to the world market. Internet retailer Nordic Store has stepped in to fill this gap by making some of the country’s most popular goods available online.

Nordic Store stocks a large selection of hand made items and high quality craft goods. The site also contains Icelandic food and drink products, woolen goods, Norse inspired jewelry as well as Icelandic maps, travel guides and books. A large number of the products on the site are impossible to find outside of Iceland.

Goods are also grouped into themes, including Vikings, Runes and Icelandic Horse. There is also a Christmas section which features Icelandic products such as Christmas beer, leaf bread, chocolate boxes, hand-crafted decorations and calendars for 2008.

People familiar to Iceland will find the helpful spirit of the locals echoed on the site through the personalized customer service. If requested, the operators can even track down particular goods and ship them out.

Visit Nordic Store for the latest special offers on maps, food, woolen goods and other Icelandic products.
