Hungover Stuntmen… Children of the Modfather

Every once in a while a band comes along that catches you unaware and blows your mind…

They’ve worked in the studio with some of the best producers in the industry and played live alongside some of this country’s greatest artists… and they’re still yet to release a record!

Humble and unassuming, Hungover Stuntmen are 4 Geordie lads who, since taking the Newcastle music scene by storm, will head out on a UK tour aiming to conquer its four corners and everything in between.

Armed with their custom Rickenbackers, Telecasters, rock n roll riffs and heavenly harmonies they already have headlined Ibiza Rocks, supported The Kooks, The Futureheads, The Subways, Get Cape. Wear Cape.Fly, Jools Holland and even shared the stage with the Modfather himself – Paul Weller, who was such a fan that he invited them back twice!

Equally as impressive in the studio, they attracted the likes of Mark Wallis (U2, Morrisey and Travis), Steve Cradock (front man of Ocean Colour Scene) for their early demo recordings before securing Andy Taylor (guitarist of Duran Duran) as the final producer for their debut album – ‘Blame the BBC’ released 5th May.

Heroes in their hometown of Newcastle (where their songs are regularly played at St James Park), the boys also boast a loyal following in Switzerland – after hearing their record, ex Formula One champion Jacques Villeneuve flew them straight out to the Swiss Alps to perform for him. The Japanese also join the list of nations falling under their spell – super fan Yu Kamidozono travelled an amazing 11,526.52 mile round trip to see the band play live in London!!

The Hungover Stuntmen release their debut single ‘Inside Out’ on 7th April and their album ‘Blame the BBC’ on 5th May. For more information please contact Tom Green at Zest PR on 020 7734 0206 or tom@zestpr.com

Notes to the Editor:

“I have a feeling that these lads will break out of the north east and make a big impact. I think Newcastle’s ready to really give something to music and these four very talented young men should be right at the head of it. They’ve got confidence verging on arrogance, and it’s for a reason. They can play, sing, I’ve even seen them dance, & for sure they put on one hell of a show.”…. Andy Taylor (Duran Duran)

“They’ve been working hard at this for a long time and they sound awesome. I love their attitude. They’re a quintessentially British rock and roll band.” Steve Cradock (Ocean Colour Scene & Paul Weller band).
