Iceland Music Export has announced the results of the annual Icelandic Music Awards. The winners were decided by an academy of music scholars and the Icelandic public.
The results for 2007 are as follows:

Jazz: “Cycles” – Einar Scheving
Classical/Modern: “Melodía” – Kammerkórinn Carmina (Chamber choir Carmina)
Performer of the year
Diverse Music: Björk
Classical/Modern: Kammersveitin Ísafold (“Chamber band Ísafold”)
Jazz: Sigurður Flosason
Composition/song of the year
Classical/Modern: “Apocrypha” – Hugi Guðmundsson
Jazz: “Daboli” – Agnar Már Guðmundsson
Diverse music: “Verum í Sambandi” – Sprengjuhöllin
Lyricist of the year
