The annual Cruise Europe conference taking place next week will discuss the role of Internet marketing in promoting Europe as a premier cruise destination.
The Cruise Europe AGM and conference will feature a workshop on search engine marketing, under this year’s event banner “communicating with our customers”.
The conference is run by Cruise Europe Association, an organisation that promotes Europe as a world-class cruise destination, and will take place in the port of Klaipeda, Lithuania between 8 – 10 May 2008.
Kristjan Mar Hauksson, Director of Nordic eMarketing, a leading Internet marketing company in Scandinavia, will speak on using the Internet as a communications channel in the B2B environment and the development of the online travel industry.
Kristjan specialises in multilingual search engine optimization and marketing for the travel industry and helps companies gain international online visibility through search engines.
Through a one hour boot-camp session of intense learning, he will instruct attendees on search engine optimization, explaining how to improve rankings on search engines and how to make the most out of organic web presence.
The workshop will also review website usability and why it matters, how search engine behaviour has changed and what the best way is for writing on the web. A ‘site clinic’ will also review selected websites, putting into practice what has been learned.
Kristjan is the founder of the Iceland SEO/SEM forum and a popular global lecturer and conference chair at events such as RIMC, Search Engine Strategies, Search Marketing Expo, AdTech and DNA.
Kristjan has worked as a consultant for Gray Line, RadisonSAS Iceland, Reykjavik Hotels, Sixt, Budget, Avis, British Airways, Iceland Express and Icelandair, the Icelandic Travel Industry Association and various other companies in the travel industry.
