Himalayan Kingdom – Nepal from £999
The trip begins in medieval Kathmandu with a city tour and a chance to see the Hindu shrines of Pashupatinath on the holy Bagmati River. During the trip travellers will fly to Pokhara, take a boat trip on the Phewa Lake, and have the opportunity to take a classic three-day Himalayan tented trek – the perfect way to experience the Himalayas. The journey continues to the village of Bandipur and the Chitwan National Park where travellers can go in search of the endangered one-horned rhino before flying back to Kathmandu.

This journey through the deep south of India explores the shore temples of Mahabalipuram, the decorated temple towers of Tanjore and Madurai, the plains of Kerala and the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to the best of southern India’s wildlife. Travellers will spend time on board a traditional houseboat on the Malabar backwaters and enjoy a homestay in a village on the shores of Lake Vembanad before heading to Kovalam to relax on the beach.

Annapurna Circuit – trekking in Nepal from £859
The Annapurna Circuit is one of the world’s classic treks. The route through the Himalayas travels through hot lowland foothills, paddy fields and bamboo forests up through high-alpine scenery above the treeline into a high altitude desert. As well as the varied landscape, trekkers will pass remote villages along the route. Some of the highlights include the high peaks of Manasalu, the Marsyandi River and the holy river of Kali Gandaki before the trek finishes in Pokhara. Trekking days on this trip can include six to ten hours of strenuous hiking at altitude.
