Dads-space.com is calling for dads across the UK to stand up and be recognised as the search begins to find the UK’s Dad of the Year as part of the National Family Week celebrations. Taking place between 25-31 May 2009, National Family Week is about bringing families together and recognising the importance of strong families. Dads-space.com would like to hear from all kinds of dad – they will be looking for stories of dads who go above and beyond the call of duty to make a real difference in their children’s lives – stories of courage, stories of sacrifice, and even just stories that are side-splittingly funny. Whether it’s yourself or your partner or father, all will be considered for this prestigious award. The entry closing date is the 15 May 2009 when the Dads-space.com judging panel will decide the top UK dad. The family that wins the vote of the judges will be invited to attend the Guinness World Record setting Family Week Picnic in Regent’s Park, London on the first day of National Family Week (Monday 25th May 2009) for the official announcement. National Family Week’s Family of the Year and Mumsnet.com’s Mum of the Year awards will also be announced at this event.
The winning dad will receive a family holiday supplied by P&V and Sea France. This one-week holiday at the Belle Dune lakeside eco-village in Picardy, France has a prize value of £1000.
