TheSupermarketOnline is a new national office products brand consisting of 10 niche websites, including those for printer ink, shredders, paper and safes, which is supported by a network of regional dealers delivering in every area of the country. Their aim is to provide the value for money of a large nationwide business with the personal service of a local company.
Unique in the market, The Supermarket Online takes the buying group philosophy of strength in numbers and applies it to the world of online office products retail, to produce a modern co-operative for the internet age.

In 2006 the UK office furniture market alone was worth £685m, with more and more shoppers heading online The Supermarket Online is ideally placed to capture this business. The niche office supplies sites will provide a valuable new route to market for local office products retailers, which is more important than ever in this competitive marketplace.

The Supermarket Online uses custom built web technology to deliver the ultimate customer friendly buying experience, incorporating customer benefits such as rating and reviews, leasing options, variable dispatch dates and free delivery.

A cumulative advertising spend of around £1.2m per year combined with a specialist SEO team will ensure the sites are Google-friendly and in aggressive competition with major office product retailers on the web.

The sites will start trading from 1 October 2009 with forecasted annual turnover of over £50m by 2012.
