A chain-smoking, crane-driving hacker from Barrow-in-Furness, Maurice Flitcroft blagged a spot at the 1976 Open as a professional. He ended up carding a 49-over-par total of 121, which probably had something to do with the fact that he’d only ever hacked a few times on playing fields in the past.
Flitcroft passed away in March last year, so we’re proper chuffed that he’s been imortalised in t-shirt form. Not only does it look the nuts, but the material used is 100% organic cotton and is certified by The Soil Association.
On top of that, all Golf Refugees’ t-shirts and polo shirts are carbon neutral, which means they’ll only be made using sustainable energy generated purely from wind and solar power. Did you know that a large Golf Refugees t-shirt cuts CO2 emissions by over 89%, which is amazing when you think about it…
Organic? Ethical? Carbon Neutral? Neat designs? What more do you flippin’ want?
