Mid-Atlantic Travel Seminar taking place in Reykjavik Iceland

Icelandair’s Mid-Atlantic Workshop and Travel Seminar is in its 18th year and expected to be bigger than ever. The conference couldn’t be located any better for bringing Europe and North America together than right in the middle of the two continents, Iceland. The country is also easily accessible with Icelandair’s transatlantic flights and consequently over the years, the seminars have successfully strengthened business relationships between travel industry professionals in the USA, Canada and Europe.

The Mid-Atlantic Travel Seminar is undoubtedly the most accessible entry to the forever growing markets on both sides of the Atlantic and in Iceland for people working in the travel industry or leisure and adventure tourism. At the Mid-Atlantic Travel Seminar, participants have the chance to meet suppliers from Iceland, Scandinavia, the USA and Canada. The seminar usually attracts around 350 representatives from travel agencies, hotels, and car rental companies, but this year an expected 500 travel professionals from 14 countries are expected, due to Iceland’s growing popularity as a travel destination

This year’s edition of Mid-Atlantic Workshop and Travel Seminar is proving more popular than ever due to people’s growing interest in Iceland and the Icelandic tourism industry. Lonely Planet, amongst other things, named Iceland as being the best value for money travel destination highlighting the true potential that the tourism industry in Iceland holds for 2010.

The Mid-Atlantic Travel Seminar is being held from the 4th -7th February 2010. The event will consist of numerous seminars and workshops at Laugardalsholl in Iceland’s capital city, Reykjavik.
