Iceland history and heritage maps offered through online store

Top Icelandic retailer, Nordic Store is now offering a series of historical maps of Iceland through its online store.

The series, containing eight maps, specialises on the historical and heritage of Iceland through text and illustration, ideal for historians and geologists. Each map focuses on a different area of Iceland including the Southwest, the West Fjords, the East and also one map covering Iceland as a whole.

The maps introduce Icelandic folktales, food culture, medieval literature, wildlife, tourism and much more. The maps also explain the history and heritage of Iceland through texts, illustrations and photographs, beginning with the settlement of Iceland in the 9th century right up to the 20th century – all of which are available in Icelandic for anyone wanting a challenge and little more authenticity.
