Chinese search giant Baidu to speak at International Search Summit London

Baidu’s chief SEM specialist, Zhang Tao, will be speaking at the International Search Summit London on 28th October.

Baidu is the leading search engine in China, with over 60% of the market share, a position which has only strengthened following the withdrawal of Google’s search engine to Hong Kong. With over 400 million internet users, China is the largest online market in the world and offers huge potential to international businesses trying to reach a Chinese audience.

Zhang Tao has been at Baidu since 2008 and has over 10 years of marketing experience in international interactive advertising agencies and top 500 enterprises. He will be joined at the Summit by Inway Ni, the VP of Chinese gaming site 4399.com, which has over 30 million visitors each day and was ranked the 75th most popular site in the world.

Andy Atkins-Krüger, Chair of the International Search Summit says, “China is such an important global market and Baidu is integral to any search marketing campaign there. Delegates will gain a better understanding of the market, as well as an insight into what Baidu offers marketers and how they can use it effectively. We are delighted to that Zhang Tao will join us.

“Inway has achieved phenomenal success with 4399.com in China, and he has more than 5 years experience in organising and chairing advanced search events in China, as well as advising SEM and SEO firms on strategies for the Chinese market. His experience and expertise will be a great asset to the Summit.

Eugene Lomize from Russian search engine Yandex and Omar Khaled from Arabic search engine Ayna will also be speaking at the Summit, which is dedicated to international and multilingual search and social media topics.

Leading global search experts including Mikkel deMib Svendsen, Ralph Tegtmeier and Massimo Burgio will also be speaking at the event, which will be held at The British Library London on 28th October.
