Ice skating event in Boston organized by Iceland airline for children’s charity

A forthcoming ice skating charity event in Boston to raise awareness for children’s charity organizations, Special Children Travel Fund and The Children’s Hospital Boston, is to be held by Iceland airline Icelandair on 5th March 2011.

This special benefit event, titled ‘The Last Bostonian Skating’, is designed to bring an exciting, creative and beneficial event to the Boston area; Icelandair’s North America headquarters. The event will be taking place at Kendall Square Community Ice Skating Rink in Boston, Massachusetts.

At ‘The Last Bostonian Skating’, five teams will take part in a series of trials testing endurance, speed, showmanship and creativity in the ultimate quest to win a trip to Iceland – whilst also helping to raise money and awareness for a greater cause.

Teams interested in participating in Icelandair’s Last Bostonian Skating need to act fast. The deadline for participation is Valentine’s day, 14th February 2011. So get ready and get creative. This is the final weekend for teams to plan how they will win these prestigious honor, propose on the ice, re-enact a movie scene, or just show off your style. The chances of winning an exciting trip to Iceland have never been better.

Furthermore, the event is free to attend and Icelandair encourages you to bring your family and friends to skate for free on 5th March 2011. While at the rink, witness this first annual spectacular Boston event with Icelandic flavor.
