B&Q and Screwfix recently launched JobSorted.com – a new online directory that enables homeowners to easily search for local tradesmen. The website currently features over 200,000 tradesmen, offering live feedback and ratings from homeowners who have used their service.

Before launching the online directory of tradesmen, B&Q and Screwfix conducted a survey involving 3,000 homeowners. The survey showed that a third of the participants generally struggle to find a tradesperson and 70 percent worry about getting ripped off by rogue tradesmen. The online tradesmen directory relies on customers who have used a local tradesperson‘s services to log on and rate their work. All feedback is then displayed on the site so homeowners can make an informed decision about who to pick based on peer experience.

The tradesmen directory also offers a search option by region and trade type, making it easy to find the right tradesman for the required job. Furthermore, there is an emergency callout button for work that needs to be attended to immediately.
