Store twice more in your warehouse

Maximum capacity of the warehouse and lowering investment and operational costs are the usual nightmare of suppliers and architects. The solution is mobile racking, which gets rid of the otherwise empty aisles. Another trick is increasing the height of the racks or creating two storage floors.

Correct placement of the racks and maximum usage of the warehouse capacity are often underestimated while designing of reconstructing a warehouse. Mobile racking technologies may seem expensive and complicated. Modifications to the construction are, however, the least possible and while reconstructing a warehouse the process is very fast and less bureaucratic than building a new hall. The increase of storage capacity affects the ordinary processes of the warehouse very little. A great surprise are then low costs for one storage unit.

Mobile racks are recommended especially for the warehouses of industrial companies, such as warehouses of smelter plants, production of metal sheets, bars and rods, automobile industry, but also other and lighter loose goods such as food and drugs. Mobile racks are priceless in freezer warehouses especially due to the lower cost per storage unit for freezing and other operational costs.

Any type of racking can be mobile – cantilevers for storage of long bars and pipes or board material, racks for the storage of coils, pallets or smaller loose goods. If the material or goods is handled by a forklift truck, it might be enough to create new storage capacity by increasing the height of the racks to up to 16m.

If the employees in the warehouse need to access the stored goods and if they stow the goods manually, the capacity of the warehouse increases dramatically by creating a second floor in the warehouse, held by the construction of the racks. The second floor can be accessed by an elevator or stairs and can be used in the same way as the ground floor – for storage, production or for an office. Such multilevel warehouses are ideal for garages, museums, archives or libraries.

Present economics forces companies to search for ideal and cheap solutions for storage, especially low investment and operational costs for storage of materials and goods. A Czech company Kredit has been producing mobile and stationary racks and archives for almost twenty years and delivers warehouse equipment to companies in Europe, the Middle East and occasionally to the North America. Kredit designs ideal solutions for storage based on a logistic audit and helps companies acquire optimum storage conditions.
