MBAF Adds Eric Lerner to Audit Department

MBAF ERE further expanded its audit capabilities by hiring Eric P. Lerner, CPA, as a director in the Audit Department. Lerner will join the firm’s New York City office.

Lerner has more than 32 years of experience in the accounting field and is a respected forensic and litigation specialist. His knowledge encompasses expert witness testimony, accounting arbitrator for final purchase price and related working capital adjustments, calculation of damages, dispute resolution, forensic and fraud investigations, fraudulent conveyances, lost profits analysis, malpractice defense and reconstruction of document records.

As Director of Quality Control, his responsibilities include final review of all assurance work and being a resource on procedural and assurance issues to MBAF ERE professionals. The announcement was made by Ira Rubenstein, principal-in-charge of the New York Region.

Lerner received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Queens College and is actively involved in several professional organizations, including serving on the forensic and litigation committee of the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants, a member of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a charter member of the International Society of Certified Public Accountants.
