TreSensa, Inc., a New York-based mobile/social game technology provider, today announced that it selected Codewalla as its research and development partner for TreSensa’s HTML5-based game technology platform.
“With HTML5 emerging as a viable technology for cross-platform game development, we recognized the need to develop a scalable framework tailored to the needs of game developers to power our product,” said Rob Grossberg, TreSensa’s CEO. “Codewalla brings both great technical expertise and extensive game development experience to the table, so was an ideal choice for TreSensa.”
TreSensa’s initial product is set for release in early Q2. It includes a client-side game SDK and a first of its kind game backend as a service. The uniqueness of the product is that it enables game developers to build their games in HTML5 for front end as well as backend game logic. This product aptly addresses the need of faster and low-cost development of social games across wide array of platforms.
Since 2005, Codewalla has been developing cross-platform games and large scale consumer products. It has also developed technology for some of the leading online gaming services.
“TreSensa’s game technology platform is going to change the way games are built by developers worldwide and we are delighted to be part of this vision. Given our deep expertise in games and related technology development, we are excited to build a highly specialized development center for TreSensa”, says Rajat Singhal, VP – Engineering, Codewalla.
