Douglas Stafford Chooses Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance as 2012 Charity

Douglas Stafford, a leading provider of performance improvement services, including mystery shopping and customer satisfaction surveys, have chosen the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) as their charity for this year.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance has been chosen by Douglas Stafford to be the focus of its charity fundraising efforts for 2012. The HIOWAA began operations in July 2007 and this year it will celebrate five years in action, providing a life-saving service throughout Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Every day the HIOWAA crew provide an efficient, prompt response to road traffic collisions, sporting accidents, collapses, and many other incidents throughout Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The helicopter, based at Thruxton Airfield, is called out many times per day, and these missions are often life saving.

The charity doesn’t receive any government funding and relies solely on the generosity of the public and companies throughout its area of operations.

“We are very happy to be supporting the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance,” says Douglas Stafford’s Chief Executive Nigel Cook. “Everyone here at Douglas Stafford is keen to make this anniversary year a great fundraising success for HIOWAA.”

Sherie Williams Ellen, HIOWAA Administration Manager, says: “I am looking forward to working with Douglas Stafford during this exciting year for our charity.”
