KEIGHLEY, UK – (22-11-2012) – Ultimate Environments, experts in the design of commercial and education interiors, are enjoying an increase in business thanks to recent trends towards creating environments designed to maximise commercial returns.
Dan Platt, Director of Ultimate Environments explained: “Over the past few years a huge amount of research has been done into what makes a successful environment. Studies have been carried out into how the environment in which we work, shop, study or socialise can affect how we behave. For example, choosing the right hotel lounge furniture (http://www.ultimate-environments.com/hotel-furniture/hotel-lounge-furniture/) and lighting has been proven to make a huge difference to the hotel experience for customers.
“We’re finding that many of our commercial customers want to tap into these ideas, especially in these tough economic times as they are keen to maximise profits wherever they can. Investing in the interior of a business is no longer a luxury; it is increasingly being seen as a necessity.”
Ultimate Environments have worked on a wide variety of projects including the refurbishment and fit-out of hotels, bistros, restaurants, college cafeterias and office break-out areas. “We’ve also seen a big rise in interest from employers keen to keep their staff happy and give their business a new image. Most employers understand nowadays that to keep staff happy and motivated the right environment is incredibly important. Employees generally see an office refurbishment or a bright and inviting staff canteen as a reward; this can be very motivating in terms of staff productivity with the result that everyone is happy.”
Recent high-profile projects have included Leeds Trinity and Nottingham University which reflects a trend towards improvements in the design of education environments. “Schools and colleges are becoming increasingly interested in improving the design and look of their interiors, especially in the increasingly competitive world of further education. Students are far pickier than they once were and they’re less inclined to want to study in shabby looking colleges. We’ve worked on some incredibly dynamic education environments over the last couples of years and it’s fascinating to see how things have changed,” said Dan.
Ultimate Environments work on all aspects of commercial and education environments, fit-outs and design, from space planning, through to refurbishment and sourcing commercial and education furniture. They’ve also carried out several projects to bring bespoke solutions to commercial customers: “Some of the commercial projects we’ve been involved with recently have been incredibly exciting. Helping clients visualise their dream of a stylish, unique interior that’ll boost their business is very satisfying,” added Dan.
