“Oil Cluster” companies create 10,000 jobs in Norway

This week, the Norway Industry Federation disclosed financial information regarding “the oil cluster” in Norway. The group consists of companies that derived more than 30% of their turnover from oil and gas exploration or oil-service. The federation revealed that the “oil cluster” gained 10,000 jobs, while non-oil companies lost 5,000 job positions.

According to the Norway Industry Federation, in the oil cluster forecast 2013 revenue growth, Norwegian companies in the oil cluster expect a 13% growth, while non-oil companies expect an average revenue growth of about 3%.
