The oil and gas industry in Norway is currently seeing a positive growth with investments following the same positive tendency. Already this year, the oil and gas investments in Norway hit a new record, NOK 198.7 billion compared to NOK 172.5 billion last year.
The new value confirmed an increase in oil and gas industry investments, contradicting the prognosis made earlier this year by the Norway Statistics Agency – the Agency predicted a spending reduction on exploration and operation fields for 2013.
Norway’s oil industry has created more jobs than state analysts first thought. A new report from Norsk Olje og Gass (Norwegian Oil Industry Association, OLF) showed that the oil industry provides 250,000 full-time jobs in Norway.
