Expanding tech business, Performance Web, creates new jobs in West Berkshire

Hungerford Berkshire, July 2015 – Performance Web, full service software development company and local technology success story, has today moved to a larger office space near Hungerford to facilitate up to 20 new tech jobs in West Berkshire including roles in web, mobile and software development.

Over the past 5 years Performance Web has added on average 4 hires per year to cater for its growth and increasing its range of web and mobile development services. The continuing expansion at Performance Web is due in part to the company’s partner program, working with creative agencies and IT services companies to deliver cutting edge development projects across Southern England.

Performance Web was founded in 2005 by Jim Parsons with the objective of building a great tech business in a rural environment. Having spent his career in locations such as Slough, Croydon and Reading Jim was determined to continue his career in the more salubrious surroundings of the West Berkshire countryside, creating technical career opportunities for the local area in the process. Originally based in Jim’s spare room, Performance Web celebrated taking on board its 19th employee in June 2015.

Due to the increase in business and headcount in 2015 and growth plans for 2016 it became essential to move to larger premises. This is the fourth upgrade in office space that Performance Web has made since its inception.

Jim Parsons, Owner, said “It is with great pride that we move to our new premises at Wickfield Farm on July 1st to accommodate our projected growth. Business is on the up and our plans for the next 5 years are very exciting. Taking the business from small to medium-size is our focus and we are now in a very good position to meet all our business and financial goals.”

Hugh Marriage, Proprietor of Wickfield Farm, said “Having Performance Web decide to base its operation here is a strong affirmation of our belief that there is real demand from tech businesses in the West Berkshire catchment, demand that we believe is well served by our growing facility at Wickfield Farm.”
