Aiways all-electric U5 SUV on its way to Sweden

Shanghai/Munich, December 15, 2021 – Shanghai-based personal mobility provider Aiways will start selling its electric SUVs in Sweden. Partnering with Andersen Motors, Swedish car buyers will be able to order the all-electric Aiways U5 SUV from January 2022.

Andersen Motors is a well-established name in the Scandinavian automotive industry and is already responsible for the Aiways sales and distribution network in Denmark. CEO Stig Jensen commented: “We are really looking forward to starting sales in Sweden. We believe the Aiways U5 SUV has great potential in the Swedish market, which, in many ways, is comparable to the Danish market when it comes to public interest in electric mobility. The acceptance of the U5 SUV and our current achievements underlines that the Aiways brand has a promising future in Sweden.”

Dr. Alex Klose, Executive Vice President of Overseas Operations at Aiways, added: “We’re delighted to expand our work with Andersen Motors and add Sweden as our latest and now northernmost market in Europe. This should be the last addition to our European network in 2021, and we hope EV buyers in Sweden consider the news to be an early Christmas present. Aiways was the first electric vehicle start-up from China to start selling cars in Europe and continues to grow its presence on the continent. Aiways is set to sell the U5 all-electric SUV in ten European markets – with Sweden joining Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.

Across all markets, the Aiways U5 SUV will be joined by the Aiways U6 SUV-Coupé in 2022. Both models are all-electric, offering accessible zero emissions motoring, long range and class-leading practicality. Aiways intends to release one new electric vehicle per calendar year in Europe.
