DEMICON conferred with the global standard ISO 27001 certificate

STUTTGART/GERMANY,  February 10, 2022 –  Securing information storage has always been a top priority for DEMICON, but this latest recognition provides an important outward signal.  “It’s been DEMICON’s goal to continuously improve and streamline our security.  The difference now is that we have an official seal,” says Philipp Batman, the CEO of DEMICON.  “It’s indeed something to be proud of, after having gone through an intense inner evaluation, to have established an effective information security management system according to the internationally recognised ISO 27001.”

The certification provides customers with a new level of trust in how DEMICON organises its IT security. Together with ISO 9001 for quality management, received in 2020, the new certification means DEMICON has reached its goal of providing reliable security and quality for customers.

“ISO 27001 was the next logical and consistent step for DEMICON, and it’s finally been achieved, so we can enter the new year with confidence,” says René Tobies, COO of DEMICON.

ISO 27001 details the requirements for establishing, sustaining, and continually improving an information security management system. The external certification assessment, conducted by IT_ZERT® Germany, was completed in Berlin at the end of December 2021 following long and intensive preparation.

The aim was to put the effectiveness of our newly introduced information security management system to the test, so the company could go fully secure into the new year. In accordance with the strict standard requirements of ISO 27001, all core processes in which information is managed and stored have been critically examined and systematically checked for weaknesses.

“We now offer our customers the highest standards in terms of quality management and IT security,” says Batman. “I’m convinced that this is also a more decisive competitive advantage for us. With the two certifications according to ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 27001 for information security management, we guarantee our customers and partners the highest standards.”
