Internationally-Acclaimed Artist Haukur Halldórsson Unveils New Sculpture “Skydbladnir”

Tønder, Denmark, (enewswire), 26.01.2023 – Internationally-acclaimed artist Haukur Halldórsson is proud to announce the unveiling of his latest sculpture, entitled “Skydbladnir” (Skýðblaðnir). The piece will be on display at his Gallery in Tonder.

“Skydbladnir” is a mesmerizing sculpture that showcases Halldórsson’s unique interpretation of Norse mythology. The prototype, made of paper but will stand between 4 and 5 meters tall and 12 meters wide, depicts the ship of the god Odin “Skydbladnir” in an abstract and surreal form that captivates the viewer.

“I have always been fascinated by Norse mythology, and I wanted to create a piece that would pay homage to the rich history and culture of my homeland,” said Halldórsson. “Skydbladnir’ is a true reflection of my artistic vision, and I am excited to share it with the world.

The exhibition will be open to the public starting today and will run through February this year. Admission is free, and all are welcome to come and view “Skydbladnir” and other works by Halldórsson.
