Oslo, Norway, 05.04.2024 – Street Art Norge is proud to present a unique exhibition honouring Haukur Halldórsson, the renowned 87-year-old Icelandic artist celebrated for his dynamic and multifaceted artistry spanning over six decades.
This exclusive showcase, titled “Haukur Halldórsson: A Journey Through Art and Time,” will feature an eclectic mix of Halldórsson’s works, ranging from paintings and sculptures to intricate jewel designs, highlighting his contribution to the art world and his exploration of Nordic mythology and folklore.
The exhibition will be officially inaugurated by the Icelandic ambassador to Norway, Högni S. Kristjánsson, at Street Art Norge’s premises at Vulkan 15 in Oslo, in the esteemed presence of the artist’s family and representatives from Street Art Norge, Ola Hanø and Dino Beslic. This event is a testament to the lasting impact of Haukur Halldórsson’s work and his status as a significant figure in the Nordic artistic community.

The final day of his exhibition is on the 24th of April.

While the focus will be on his Street art side, guests will experience a rare glimpse into the varied styles and themes that have defined Halldórsson’s artistic endeavours, from his early days as a sailor to his profound explorations of myth and landscape.
About Haukur Halldórsson:
Born on July 4, 1937, in Reykjavík, Iceland, Halldórsson has led a life rich in experience and artistic exploration. His work delves deep into mythology, bringing to life the folklore of Iceland, the Brothers Grimm tales, and Celtic and Nordic legends. His notable works include the Arctic Henge in Raufarhöfn, Iceland, a monumental structure that intertwines astronomical concepts with Norse mythological elements.
