New York, NY (July 9, 2024) – Future Electronics, a leading global distributor of electronic components, successfully completed a series of cybersecurity seminars across Europe in June 2024. These seminars addressed the growing importance of cybersecurity in product design, providing engineers with the knowledge and tools needed to comply with new EU and UK regulations.
With the EU mandating cybersecurity compliance for internet-connected products by 2025 and the UK’s recent implementation of the PSTI law, these seminars were timely and essential for electronics designers. The seminars covered a wide range of security aspects for both MCU and FPGA design, including:
- Secure Boot
- Secure Update
- Secure Storage
- Cryptography
- Secure Communication
Participants gained valuable insights into device authentication, preventing unauthorized access, common security pitfalls, and affordable tools to mitigate risks. Additionally, they learned about advanced security features like ARM Cortex®-M TrustZone® and external Secure Elements.
“Future Electronics is committed to supporting the electronics design community by providing the resources they need to stay ahead of the curve,” said Jamie Singerman, Corporate Vice President Worldwide at Future Electronics. “These seminars are just one example of how we are helping our customers navigate the evolving landscape of cybersecurity.”
