Dóra & Döðlurnar to Open for Elín Hall at Album Release Concert

Reykjavik, Iceland, November 25, 2024 – Rising Icelandic band Dóra & Döðlurnar, led by the captivating Bára Katrín, will be opening for acclaimed musician and actress Elín Hall at her highly anticipated album release concert on November 29, 2024.

This exciting collaboration stems from a memorable encounter earlier this year at the Söngvakeppni Framhaldsskólanna (The Secondary School Singing Contest), where Dóra & Döðlurnar, performing their original song “Gatnamót,” secured second place with Elín Hall serving as a judge. Elín was immediately impressed by their talent and potential, recognizing a kindred spirit in Bára Katrín.

“It’s an incredible honor to be invited to warm up for Elín’s release concert,” says Bára Katrín. “We’ve admired her work for so long, and to have the chance to be a part of this special evening is a dream come true.”

Elín Hall, known for her powerful vocals and emotionally charged music, is also a celebrated actress in Iceland. Her notable roles include a gripping portrayal of a young woman battling addiction in the 2018 film Let Me Fall, and starring roles in When the Light Breaks (2024) and the crime drama Cold (2023).

This concert promises to be a unique showcase of Icelandic talent, blending the established artistry of Elín Hall with the fresh energy of Dóra & Döðlurnar.
