Low-cost Icelandic airline receives website award

Icelandic Express adds another award to its list after recently picking up best Icelandic e-commerce and service website.

The website of budget Icelandic airline Iceland Express was recently awarded as the best e-commerce and service website in Iceland.

The announcement was made at annual website awards of the Association of the Icelandic Internet Industry whose jury consisted of Icelandic professionals from the Internet industry.

According to the jury’s statement, the award for Iceland Express was based on the website being well designed, easy to navigate and helpful for customers.

“Complicated matters are made easy to understand and the website is designed in a way that makes the customer always come first” according to the jury’s statement. Iceland Express’ website was also a finalist in the category ‘Best look and user interface’.

Last year the Iceland Express website also received the Best Website award at the World Low Cost Airlines Congress held in London. When choosing the winner the jury gave points for clarity and easy access to web content, with a special emphasis on simple and user-friendly booking process. Points were also given for web design, images, typography and creativity in presenting information.

Iceland Express is a budget airline which offers daily cheap flights between Reykjavik and 14 cities in Europe including London, Paris and Berlin.
