G.A.P. Adventures’ buck economic downturn by posting record revenue figures

G.A.P. Adventures, the world’s leading small group adventure travel company, announces record increases in passenger numbers and revenue for results for Q3 2008. Results from July through August 2008 revealed that passenger numbers had increased 66% and revenue by 52% in comparison with the same period in 2007.

John Warner European Sales Director commented: “Despite the well reported gloom and doom everywhere, it seems that the economic downturn has had no impact on our European trading for the third quarter this year.” When pressed as to why his company was enjoying such strong returns he added: “Adventure travel is the fastest growing sector of the travel industry and we are at the forefront of the market. We offer exciting, authentic travel experiences for every sector at the most cost effective prices available”

G.A.P Adventures has deliberately differentiated itself by offering the largest selection of adventure tours at prices that undercut their major competitors.

Offering superior choice and value is paramount to G.A.P Adventures’ strategy for growth within the region, “For a relatively unknown brand in the market, it is essential that we offer the most wide ranging selection of trips in the market at prices that are the envy of our competitors. Our recent results show why we are now the market leaders in the adventure sector: we offer more for less and the savvy adventure traveller, when searching for the best experience and the most affordable price, is now finding that this inevitably leads them to G.A.P Adventures.” concluded Mr. Warner.
