Test & Go Scheme Resumed from 1 Feb 2022 and more on Sandbox scheme

Stockholm, Jan. 21, 2022  — Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) resumes Test & Go Scheme from 1 Feb 2022.

Test & Go

  • Fully vaccinated travellers including Nordic and Baltic will be able to travel to any destinations in Thailand under the Test & Go Stay 2 nights at SHA Extra Plus (SHA++) hotel on Day 1 and Day 5, 2 RT-PCR tests and a pre-arranged transfer airport to hotel upon arrival.
  • Travellers can stay at 2 different hotels on Day 1 and Day 5. However, on both Day 1 and Day 5, they must stay in the room while waiting for the RT-PCR test result.
  • Thailand Pass system will reopen for new TEST & GO applications from 1 February 2022 (from 09.00 Hrs. Thailand Time)
  • Travellers can apply for a TEST & GO – Thailand Pass 60 days in advance but not less than 7 Business days before departure.
  • Travellers who have received their Thailand Pass QR code before 22 December 2021, with scheduled arrival dates in Thailand from 24 December 2021, onwards, are still required to undergo their second COVID-19 test on Day 5/6, or when they experience respiratory symptoms (with no additional cost).

Sandbox 

  • Fully vaccinated travellers can travel to Thailand and stay the first 7 nights in the Sandbox destinations:
    • Phuket
    • Krabi including Phi Phi, Koh Lanta
    • Phang-Nga includes Khao Lak and Ko Yao
    • Surat Thani only Ko Samui, Ko Phangan and Ko Tao
    • Chonburi – Bang Lamung, Pattaya, Si Racha, Si Chang, and Sattahip – only Na Jomtien and Bang Saray (From 1 February 2022)
    • Trat – Ko Chang (From 1 February 2022)
  • The Sandbox Extension programme will be introduced between Phuket, Phang-Nga, Krabi, and Surat Thani (only Ko Samui, Ko Phangan, and Ko Tao), where Sandbox travellers can travel within these destinations during the first 7 nights.
  • Travellers to Krabi, Phang-Nga, or Phuket can change accommodation twice within the first 7 nights (can book 2 different hotels) within the province.
  • Travellers to Ko Samui, Ko Phangan, and Ko Tao can change accommodations 3 times within the first 7 nights. However, they must stay the first night on Ko Samui and must receive a negative result for their first RT-PCR test, before being able to change to other hotels on either Ko Samui, Ko Phangan, or Ko Tao. Or they can choose to book 3 different hotels on Ko Samui.
